Beside Quiet Waters

slow down, be quiet & listen

Introducing Beside Quiet Waters

Hi, my name is Brian Jensen, and I’m thankful that you are here.

What’s Beside Quiet Waters all about?

I started Beside Quiet Waters because I needed something to help me find some quiet space in my life. I wanted to combine two of my favorite things in a resource that has two simple goals:

  1. To be refreshed as you listen to simple and soothing sounds from nature, and
  2. To be refreshed as you listen to encouraging words from the Bible.

The Bible teaches us to take time regularly to rest and to meditate on, or think about, what the Bible has to say. That’s really all this is about.

What will you find here?

  • A collection of 10 minutes recordings that feature recorded sounds from nature and short passages from the Bible.

What will you not find here?

  • Anything that is preachy, judgmental or negative. I promise.

Who am I?

Wow, that’s a loaded question. Here’s a little about me:

  • I’ve been Anne’s husband for 35 years.
  • Brian-JensenI’m a father to three grown children.
  • I love camping, sports, and woodworking.
  • I’m a musician, artist and computer geek.
  • I’m a gregarious introvert- I love being with people, but I need my space to regenerate. A lot of space.
  • I snack too much in the evening and don’t get enough exercise. And I don’t drink enough water.
  • I’ve served for over 30 years as pastor, conference speaker, worship leader, college and youth minister.
  • I worked in the printing industry for many years.
  • I hope someday to write a book on finding rest when we are weary and overloaded.
  • I want to build a log cabin.

I’d like to hear from you.

Now that I’ve introduced myself, please contact me to introduce yourself and let me know how I can serve you.

I’d also like to stay in touch by email:
