I realized a while ago that (this might sound a bit odd to some of you) God was prompting me to start this. Why? I think in large part it is for my benefit- I’ve needed to learn how to take some time to reflect and well, be quiet. But I also hope that God might use this in your life too.

One thing I think most of us have in common is this: we are way too busy, way too tired, way too stretched thin. We’ve bought into the idea that being busy is better, even though we don’t have the resources to keep going. Slowing down means we are lazy.

I’ve read a lot about how to deal with this- there has been a lot written!- But the one thing that has made a difference for me is realizing this: God wants to bring me to quiet waters so that he can restore and refresh me. And that’s what this site is all about.

In the coming days I am going to be posting more information about this site, why I started it, what I hope it accomplishes, and how I hope it will help you.

So stay tuned, because I truly hope this will help us all find some quiet waters.
